Clothing I
Mrs. Broadbent
Students in this class will be learning the basics of garment construction. They will be constructing a quilt, a pair of pajama pants, and one additional garment of their choice during the semester. All materials needed for the quilt are provided if necessary. Quilts made with classroom materials will be donated. Students will be given instructions on buying quilt fabric if they choose to do so. The student is responsible for providing the fabrics and notions necessary for the other two garments/projects. Since the quilt is the first project, and all the supplies are provided, the students do not need to have the fabric for their other projects until November 1st.
Grades will be based on written assignments, participation (personal management), labs, projects, tests, and attendance. This is a lab-based class with lots of hands on learning. Students are expected to be working on a project every day, if they do not have a project one will be provided for them. If the student is not working on a classroom project their personal management grade will reflect the lack of participation.
