FACS Clothing and Textile Classes
The FACS program at Scio High School offers three sewing classes. Clothing 1, Clothing 2, and Advanced Clothing. These classes teach basic to advanced clothing construction techniques used in the apparel industry.
Clothing 1
Clothing 1 students will learn basic sewing construction techniques. They will construct a quilt that can be donated to a charity. The quilts and garments constructed in this class have gone as far away as Guatemala and Sierra Leon. We have also donated to the ABC house and Helping Hands in Albany.

Clothing 2
Students in clothing 2 will learn more advanced clothing construction design, and fitting technuques while constructing a basic toile garment for a half sized dress form. They will construct a garment or quilt of their choosing,

Advanced Clothing
Advanced Clothing is offered to students who have completed Clothing 1 and the Clothing 2 classes. It is an independant study class where students can continue to learn more advaanced clothing construction and design techniques. Students can work on garments or projects of their choosing that will challenge their abilities.
